Known to friends and admirers of his photography as Edu, Eduardo Rosa Cervantes studied photography at Málaga's Escuela de Arte San Telmo as well as at art schools in Granada and Madrid.
He began exhibiting and winning photography awards while still a student, and worked briefly on the newspaper La Opinión de Málaga as a photographer. His first solo exhibition was at the Galería Enfrente Arte in Ronda in 1999, and he has also exhibited in numerous group shows in galleries across Andalucía as well as in Madrid and Barcelona. He publishes in most editions of Ronda's monthly arts magazine Wha? and is a frequent visitor to north Africa, a recurring theme in his work. |
